5th Annual Users' Meeting
Nov. 15-16, at the U of S, this meeting, organized by the CLS Users' Advisory Committee, is a chance to learn about the progress of the CLS, present your recent synchrotron work, or get ideas for future work. Workshops will include: Materials Science with Synchrotron Radiation; High Heat Load and Novel X-ray Optics; Synchrotron Applications to environmental and Industrial Science; and Applications of Synchrotron Radiation in the Life Sciences. Registration for Sask. post-secondary students is free. The presentation by new CLS Exec. Festival of Faith
Sun., Nov. 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Thomas More College Auditorium, the 18th annual Festivel of Faith will be held, with the theme 'A Celebration of Our Faiths. Special guests: Tibetan Monks from the Gaden Monastery in India. Also: the Doukhobor Choir, Joseph Naytowhow drumming, and representatives from other faith communities. Admission free, donation optional.
Remembrance Day Wreath Laying
Mon., Nov. 11 at 12:45 p.m. (after the SaskPlace Service), a multi-faith Remembrance Day Wreath Laying Service will be held at the Memorial Gates (corner of College Drive & Hospital Drive), sponsored by U of S Campus ministries.
