Pediatric Lecture
The 2003 Shokeir Lecture to be held May 8 at 10 am in the East Lecture Theatre, Royal University Hospital features Dr. Hugh O'Brodovich from the University of Toronto. A pediatrician and accomplished researching in pediatric pulmonology, his topic will be "Fluid Clearance from the Lungs' Airspaces".
Atmospheric & Oceanic Science

Public Lecture
The U of S Process Philosophy Research Unit presents a public lecture by Prof. John Cobb, founding director of the Center for Process Studies at Claremont College, California May 29 at 8 p.m. in the Terrace Room, Delta Bessborough Hotel. His address is entitled "Whitehead's Theory of Knowledge as a Critique of the Modern University".
Foreign Policy Dialogue
Bill Graham, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, will be on campus April 24 in a dialogue moderated by Janice MacKinnon, former Saskatchewan Finance Minister. The event begins at 2:30 pm in the Georgia Goodspeed Theatre, College of Commerce. For more information, contact Rob Norris at 966-2428.

Dr. Carl von Baeyer (Psychology) and Dr. Carroll Chubb (Physiology) will review current and emerging research on the placebo response and its significance for natural healing.

Veterinary Microbiology Seminar Series
Dr. Manuel Chirino of the Dept. of Veterinary Microbiology will speak on 'Necrobacillosis in Deer on the Prairies: What we know and what we are doing to solve the problem', April 25 at 12:30 pm in Rm. 2105 WCVM.

Dr. Floyd McKeith of the University of Illinois will present "Meat Quality Issues and Advances" at 7 pm May 1 in the Agriculture Building Atrium.

- May 16, 3:30 pm, Room 208 Arts, Prof. Melvin Henriksen of Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, California, presentes "What we know and do not know about the space of minimal prime ideals of a ring of continuous functions".
