Project Si! off and running

Project Si! off and running

Implementation of the campus-wide $12-million 'Project Si!' initiative to create a comprehensive new U of S student information system is now getting into high gear, with the initial web-portal launched just last month. Oct. 1 the University and SCT Corporation, vendors of the project's Banner Student Solution software, held a Project Initiation Session in Kirk Hall for more than 70 campus staff and administrators closely involved with the new system. The session celebrated the U of S-SCT partnership aimed at developing new administrative systems for campus and furthered discussion about how the many teams involved in the project with work with each other and with SCT to ensure success as the massive project is implemented over the next year or two. Above, SCT Account Manager James Brunner, right, chats with Financial Services Director of Support and Development Bob Elliott, seated, and Project Si! Manager Alan Deschner, during the Initiation Session. Inset, Brunner speaks to the Project Si! sponsors, steering committee members and project teams attending the Oct. 1 meeting.
