Synchrotron seminars begin

A new seminar series starting April 16 will feature local scientists as well as experts from the U.S., Europe and around the world, to showcase the broad range of research made possible by synchrotron-based techniques.

The series, offered through the Canadian Light Source (CLS), is aimed at scientists across the U of S campus. It is intended as a forum where researchers from different backgrounds can learn about exciting new science, exchange ideas, meet new potential collaborators, and develop plans for using the synchrotron to enhance their scientific programs.

Seminars will be held bi-weekly on Fridays from 1- 2 p.m. in Rm. 2068 at the CLS. The events may be moved to a larger venue on campus if demand warrants. Updates will be posted at www.lightsource.ca/enews/upcomingevents, or contact Sandra Ribeiro at the CLS at sandra.ribeiro@lightsource.ca.
