‘US’ IN THE NEWS
The Oct. 25 edition of Canadian Business magazine, which included its MBA Guide 2004, listed Ron Edmonds, head of the Industrial Relations and Organizational Behaviour Department in the College of Commerce as one of Canada's "hot profs". The titles were awarded based on student responses.
English Professor Robert Calder's book Beware the British Serpent was the topic of discussion between the author of CBC Sunday Edition host Michael Enright Nov. 7. The book, nominated for two Saskatchewan Book Awards, looks at the role writers played in British propaganda in the United States during the Second World War.
Commerce professor of management and marketing Colin Boyd was heard on radio stations and seen on television across the country following the release of Justice David Wright's final report from the inquiry into the death of Neil Stonechild. Boyd was called up to talk about the suggestion of a 'mutiny' within the ranks of the Saskatoon Police Service, and about the service's culture.
