The walking brochure features indoor and outdoor routes on campus. |
A number of campus organizations and units have joined forces to encourage everyone to get fit, one step at a time.
Move US, a partnership that includes various operations of Student and Enrolment Services Division at the USSU, the Dept. of Health, Safety and Environment, Facilities Management Division, in motion, Campus Recreations and most bargaining units, has mapped out walking routes, both indoors and out, complete with distance, time and steps. In all, there are over 11 kms of walking paths on campus.
The resulting brochure is a handy guide to routes with intruiging names like Around the Uni-verse, North Road of 60, Where the Dinosaurs Roam and A Tale of Two Tims.
Anyone interested in entering the Move US walking challenge as an individual or group, or in just walking for pleasure should visit http://students.usask.ca/move for information and maps. There is also a PAWS walking group under Health and Wellness.
