Greystone Theatre
Mother Courage and Her Children, written by Bertolt Brecht and directed by Jim Guedo, runs Nov. 20-29 at Greystone Theatre. Tickets are available from the Place Riel information kiosk and the theatre box office (call 966-5188).
Fall Concert
The U of S Greystone Singers and the University Chorus, under the direction of Gerald Langner, present their annual fall concert Nov. 30 at 3 pm at Knox United Church. Tickets are available at McNally Robinson Booksellers or at the door.
Big Band Dance
Dancing will be encouraged at an upcoming performance of the U of S Jazz Ensemble Nov. 28 from 8:30-midnight in the College of Education lounge. The event, which will feature dance music, is to raise funds for the group’s trip to McGill University in January. To purchase tickets in advance, contact the Department of Music at 966-6171.
Concert Band Presentation
The U of S Concert Band presents a concert of varied music in Quance Theatre Nov. 28 at 7:30 pm. Admission is by silver collection.
Kenderdine Gallery
On exhibit until Dec. 23 is Size Matters, a group show of works from the U of S art collection. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Agriculture Building.
College Building Galleries
In the lower gallery is Orientalism and Ephemera, curated by Jamelie Hassan, which explores the attraction and presence of the "East" in everyday experiences through the work of a number of artists. In the main level gallery is Com Pose, work by Ellen Moffat that brings together ironic objects as companion pieces.
Museum of Antiquities
On view is Bene Merenti: Inscriptions from the Roman Catacombs, an exhibition featuring early Christian artifacts. In the College Building.
St. Thomas More Gallery
Recent work by Muveddet Al-Katib can be seen in the gallery until Dec. 19.
