Questioning content

November 14, 2008

While we may empathize with Ms. [Barb] Daigle's feelings expressed in her article in the November 2008 Human Resources Update ("The Value of Giving and Receiving Feedback") we may also question whether this prominent placement of such a personal piece by such a key player in the implementation of our strategic plans enhances our understanding of the important issues we are all facing.

I look forward to the time when the content of these communications focuses more on the development of human resource practices that will take us through the next stage of the evolution of this University and less on the personal impact that this evolution has had on one individual. Until then, I hope we all find appropriate and healthy forums to help us cope with the slings and arrows that may come our way as we live through this period of change.
