The University of Saskatchewan Board of Governors voted July 25 to return Art Dumont to the position of chair and Nancy Hopkins to the position of vice-chair for another one-year term each.
Dumont, a U of S engineering graduate and chairman and chief executive officer of Technicoil Corporation in Calgary, was appointed to the board by the provincial government in 2003 and has been chair for the past three years. Hopkins, a partner in the Saskatoon law firm McDougall Gauley LLP, joined the board in 2005. This will be her third term as vice-chair.
The board also confirmed the reappointment of Brent Cotter as dean of law for a three-year term starting July 1, 2009.
