Dr. Tom Smith-Windsor, a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine practicing in Prince Albert, has been appointed to a five-year term as associate dean, rural and northern medical education in the College of Medicine. The appointment was effective Oct. 1.

The Canadian Institutional Research and Planning Association (CIRPA) recently presented its first-ever outstanding service award to Robert Schultz, director of institutional effectiveness in Institutional Planning and Assessment. Shultz has served the organization in many capacities, including conference organizer and committee chair, and as president and past-president for the last eight years.

Jasmine Calix, former acting program co-ordinator in the International Student Office, has joined University Advancement in the position of prospect researcher. Calix earned her master’s degree in political studies from the U of S in 2008.
