Under renovation
September 4, 2009
Renovations are a bit behind schedule but the Bookstore is open for business with extended hours and what is proving to be a popular online buying option.
Mark Jagoe, director of retail services, said changes to incorporate the now-closed Centre Shop operation will not be complete until February but students and staff have full access to the current stock of books and supplies. Students are also making good use of online textbook buying available on the store’s webiste. “Online sales are one of our key strategies to reduce line-ups,” he said, “and we’ve had way more sales than we expected.”
In addition, Bookstore hours will be extended starting Sept. 8, to 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday to Thursday, until 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday. At the Tuck Shop in the Arts Building, hours for Sept. 8-30 will be 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday to Thursday and until 4:30 p.m. Friday.
