Positioning Project
The U of S institutional positioning project is endeavouring to pinpoint the institution’s unique position in the post-secondary education sector. A town hall meeting Sept. 18 from noon-1 pm in Convocation Hall will include more information about the project as well as an address by Alex Usher, vice-president of research and director of the Educational Policy Institute.
University Women
The University of Saskatchewan Women organization will host a coffee party Sept. 20 from 2-4 pm at the W.A. Edwards Centre. New members are welcome.
Soccer Reunion
A 25-year reunion of Huskie Women’s Soccer will be held Sept. 12-13 on the U of S campus. All athletes, coaches, managers and trainers are invited to attend. For information, contact Ross Wilson at 222-0087.
Grand Opening
The grand opening of the Learning Commons in the Murray Library will take place Sept. 30 from 2-4 pm. The event will include ribbon-cutting and a panel discussion.
Comedy and a Banquet
Continuing Nursing Education presents a banquet featuring stand-up comic Big Daddy Tazz at the Western Development Museum Oct. 1. Tickets are $55. Call 966-8360 before Sept. 18.
Aboriginal Music Festival
The sixth annual Aboriginal Music Festival organized by the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education takes place Sept. 10-11 at TCU Place. The event will include a career fair and a festival gala. Visit ccde.usask.ca/ca/go/amf
