What goes up …
December 3, 2010
It was a significant milestone in construction of D Wing of Academic Health Sciences Nov. 26 when work began on dismantling the tower crane that has dominated the site for months. Workers closed off Campus Drive, brought in a portable crane and began by removing the tower crane’s counterweights. The rest of the structure was dismantled and lowered to the ground in pieces over the following two days. There are now just three construction cranes on campus – two working on E Wing of Academic Health Sciences and one on the site of the second undergraduate student residence building in College Quarter.
