Campus Incidents

Selected incidents reported by the Department of Campus Safety. Report all information about these and other incidents to Campus Safety at 966-5555.
January 4 – 10
- Officers issued the following tickets:
- 6 for disobeying a stop sign
- 1 24-hour suspension
- 1 for operating an unregistered vehicle
- 1 for having alcohol other than in a private place
- 1 for intoxication in public
- Money was stolen from a wallet that had accidentally been left in a washroom.
- An unattended laptop was stolen from Murray Library.
- The operator of a motor vehicle was charged with being impaired. His passenger became unruly and was charged with being intoxicated in public.
- Several personal items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Stadium Parkade.
- A wallet was stolen from a backpack in the Murray Library.
January 11 – 17
- Officers issued the following tickets:
- 2 for driving without a valid license
- 1 for disobeying a stop sign
- 1 for a novice transport passenger
- As a result of a routine vehicle stop, a male was arrested for outstanding warrants.
- A data projector valued at $3,400 was stolen from St. Andrew’s College
- A hit and run was reported in U lot.
- A male was arrested for being intoxicated in public
- Officers attended an accident at the corner of Wiggins and College. A motorist had struck a pedestrian who was crossing at the corner. MD Ambulance transported the victim to the hospital. The incident was turned over to Saskatoon Police.
- Officers apprehended a male after receiving a report that he had stolen items from a building on campus. He was charged with theft and breach of probation.
