Anne Summach, program manager with the business and leadership programs in the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education, was named a finalist for the 2010 Athena Award given to inspiring women leaders in Saskatoon. Although she did not win, Summach was nominated for her ability to bring people together to accomplish great things, says a colleague.
Previously a marketing specialist in the university’s communications office, Mike Klein has moved into the position of online strategist, also in the communications office. Klein, who has been with the U of S since 2006, took up the new role Feb. 15.
Maggie L’Arrivee has joined the provost’s office as the confidential secretary to the executive assistant and director of administration. She brings with her many years of campus experience, most recently with research services. Her new position began March 4.
Shirley (Xiaoyan) Zhou
On March 1, Shirley (Xiaoyan) Zhou joined University Advancement’s annual giving team in the role of development officer, leadership development. Zhou arrives in her new job with a background in management and marketing from the private sector and a graduate degree from the U of S.
