International Week set for Jan. 31-Feb. 4


The International Student Office, U of S Students’ Union and U of S International Office are sponsoring a week of activities Jan. 31-Feb. 4 to highlight international dimensions on campus. Numerous events are being planned, and the following activities may be of interest to faculty and staff:

  • Food Fair – Seven international student associations will sell delectable international dishes Feb. 3 and 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Tunnel.

  • Cultural Shows – International students from many countries will present songs, dances and costumes Jan. 31, Feb. 1 and 2 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. in Lower Place Riel. This is a free event.

  • International Music Night – A unique musical experience will be provided by international students who will play traditional instruments from various countries Wed., Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Quance Theatre. No formal admission charge, but voluntary donations at the door would be appreciated.
