NOTES FROM THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
- Annual Vacation Entitlement for CUPE
1975 employees ... In accordance with Article 17.2 of
the collective agreement, "... all annual vacation accrued
by April 30th of any year shall be taken by April 30th of
the succeeding year." CUPE employees are reminded
that arrangements must be made with their departments to
use all their 1997/98 vacation entitlement by April 30, 1999.
If employees are uncertain as to how many vacation
days remain owing before April 30, they should contact
the individual in their departments who are responsible
for maintaining the monthly Sick and Vacation
Report.
Employees wishing to carry over some of this
year's vacation entitlement must apply to their departments
for permission in accordance with Article 17.3 of the
collective agreement. For more information, contact

- President Ivany has requested 1999
plans/updates from the University's Employment Equity
Working Committees. These are to be submitted to the
Senior Employment Equity Working Committee by March
31, 1999. FMI, contact Kathy Gray at -6325.
- The Division welcomes back Judy
Easton who returned from maternity leave on March 1. Judy is
responsible for CUPE leaves of absence (including maternity
leaves) and orientation of new CUPE employees. She can
be reached at -2422.
