U OF S CONCERT SERIES (2)
Sun., Oct. 3, at 7:00 p.m. in Quance Theatre, Educ. Bldg., the Dept. of Religious Studies and Dept. of Music are co-hosting a presentation of Tibetan dance, music and opera by the internationally acclaimed Tibetan performing arts troupe Chaksampa. Chaksampa has toured extensively in Europe and North America, introducing Western audiences to the unique traditions of the Tibetan performing arts.
This is a benefit concert with proceeds going toward Tibetan Relief and the Preservation of the Tibetan Performing Arts. Tickets for the performance are available at the door. General admission is $15.00; students and seniors $12.00.

At 7:30 p.m., Sun., Oct. 17, Mezzo-soprano Vilma Vitols, winner of the 1999 Eckhardt-Gramatté Competition. Vitols will perform an all-contemporary program including works by Berg, Berberian, Shostakovich, Bolcom, and Stravinsky. Tickets avail. at the concert or Dept. of Music office.
