  • EDITH ROWLES SIMPSON LECTURE

    Thurs., Oct 14 at 7:30 p.m., Dr. Dianne Kieren will deliver the 1999 Edith Rowles Simpson Public Lecture, entitled "Hers and His: Relationships Recognizing the Differences", in the Francis Morrison Library Theatre. The lecture is given in honor and memory of Dr. Simpson, Dean Emerita of the U of S. Dr. Kieren is Prof. Emerita in the Dept. of Human Ecology, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Home Economics, University of Alberta. Reception to follow. Everyone welcome.

  • ENERGY EFFICIENCY LECTURES (2)

    Global Climate Change and Energuide For Houses.

    Practical responses to reducing green house gases and saving money. Presented by Keith Hanson, (B.Sc. Civil Engineering, U of S, 1976), Pres. Sun Ridge Group, an international consulting company responsible for delivery of the EnerGuide for Houses Evaluation Program in Saskatchewan. EnerGuide for Houses is one of the federal government strategies for response to Kyoto Protocol. This presentation will bring awareness of Global Climate Change issues and consequences as well as providing information on the benefits individual homeowners can expect from using the EnerGuide for Houses program.
