MacKinnon to tour Sask. discussing U of S plans


U of S Pres. Peter MacKinnon will launch a personal tour of the province five days from now, with stops in four cities over the next six weeks.

The 1999 President’s Tour will begin Nov. 3 in North Battleford.

MacKinnon will spend a day in each of the four centres, meeting with high school principals and guidance counsellors, members of the Legislative Assembly, U of S alumni, members of the business community, news media, and aboriginal government.

The aim of the tour is to meet and talk with people all over the province about the University, its vision, and its plans for the future.

Tour dates are:

  • Nov. 3 – North Battleford

  • Nov. 8 – Swift Current

  • Nov. 24 – Prince Albert

  • Dec. 13 – Regina

A second leg of the tour is being considered for early in the New Year.
