Notes from Human Resources Division
- Pension Plan Reform Cash Payments
A Memorandum has been mailed to members of the Academic Pension Plan who chose Option 3 (join the Money Purchase Plan) and take a cash payment of the non-registered amount that cannot be transferred to the MPP. This Memorandum advises that cheques can be picked up from the Administration Building 2nd Floor Link beginning Monday, February 26 (8:00 am to 6:00 pm), and continuing to Friday, March 2 until 5 pm. After that time, cheques will be sent by registered mail to the members home address currently on file in the Human Resources Division. Please note: members will have to present two pieces of identification with at least one containing their photograph. No-one but the member can pick up the cheque (it will not be released to a third party).
Information sessions have been organized to summarize how the calculations were performed and to answer any questions members may have with respect to their cheques. The sessions are as follows:
- Friday, February 16, 3:00-4:00 p.m., Place Riel Theatre
- Wednesday, February 28, 5:00-6:00 p.m., Place Riel Theatre.
