Notes from Human Resources Division

    * Sessional Lecturers... Spring and Summer Session:  Vacancies for the 2002 Spring and Summer Session courses are currently advertised.  Applications should be submitted to department heads by February 12, 2002. Refer to HRD’s Employment Bulleting Boards or the web site (http://aminsrv.usask.ca/hrdivision/) under Employment Opportunities for more information.

    * Part-time Pension Plan... Sessional Lecturers who believe they may be eligible to participate in the University’s “Pension Plan for Less than Full Time, Continuous Employment Staff” (Research Pension Plan 5%) should contact Alana Carmichael at 966-6266 or e-mail to Alana.Carmichael@usask.ca to determine if they qualify for coverage.  Eligibility is determined over a two year period and requires earnings of approximately $13,500 in each of two consecutive years.

    * The Saskatoon Tribal Council - Urban First Nation Services Inc. maintains a database of First Nations people currently seeking employment.  For more information, contact Joe Whitebear, Employment Coordinator, at 956-6130.

    * Saskatoon Aboriginal Employment & Business Opportunities (SAEBO) has recently launched an employment web site that offers services to both Aboriginal job seekers and potential employers.  Check them out at www.aboriginaljobs.com
