A summer stroll in November?

It may be a rapidly fading memory, as the cold winds and snow flurries whip around U of S buildings this week, but only last Saturday, Nov. 4, campus basked in warm, sunny, summer-like weather. Taking full advantage, 18-month-old Austen enjoys a nice walk near the Bowl, rushing ahead of his 10-year-old brother Justin and grandpa and grandma, Clarence and Jeannette Bowes. The Bowes were babysitting the kids for the day, and what could be better than letting them charge around campus on a nice day? It’s no wonder they thought of the U of S – though now retired, both Clarence and Jeannette are alumni – Clarence in Education and Jeannette in Fine Arts. Pointing to the Thorvaldson Bldg., Clarence noted, "I took classes in there 50 years ago!"
