GREYSTONE SINGERS CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The U of S Greystone Singers, conducted by Gerald Langner, present their annual Christmas Concert Sat., Dec. 2, 7:30 p.m. at Knox United Church, Saskatoon. The program includes traditional songs and carols by Canadian, American, British, German, and Ukrainian composers, the U of S Student Brass Quintet, and a full setting of the Magnificat by Antonio Vivaldi featuring Faculty of the Dept. of Music. Admission at the door is $10 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge.

HANDEL’S MESSIAH

The University/Community Chorus & Saskatoon Chamber Singers presents Handel’s Messiah with the Saskatchewan Chamber Orchestra, Thurs., Dec. 7, 7:30 p.m. in Third Avenue United Church, Saskatoon, as well as a Sing-along Messiah the following evening. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $10 for students, with tickets available at the door or at the Saskatoon Symphony Office.

U OF S ENSEMBLE SERIES

  • Fri., Nov. 24 at 12:00 noon, Music Theatre. Musicals performed at Quance Theatre, directed by Dr. Garry Gable. Free admission.
  • Fri., Nov. 24, 8:00 p.m., Wind Orchestra. Concerts performed at Holy Spirit Church, directed by Prof. Marvin Eckroth. Tickets: $20 adults, $6 children, students and seniors.
  • Thurs., Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m., Concert Band, performed at Quance Theatre, directed by Darrell Bueckert. Adults $10, children, students & seniors $6.
  • Fri., Dec. 1 at 8:30 p.m., Jazz Ensemble. Concerts performed at the Bassment, directed by Prof. Dean McNeill.
  • Sat., Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m., Greystone Singers. Concerts performed at Knox United Church, directed by Dr. Gerald Langner. Adults $10, children, students & seniors $6.
  • Thurs., Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m., University Chorus. Concert performed at 3rd Ave. United Church, directed by Dr. Gerald Langner, paired with the Saskatoon Chamber Orchestra.
