Sask. Book Awards deadline Sept. 14

Organizers of the Saskatchewan Book Awards have issued a reminder to the U of S campus community that Sept. 14 is the final deadline for submitting books for the 2001 Awards program.

Entries are invited for books by Saskatchewan authors in these categories:

• Book of the Year
• First Book (Brenda Macdonald Riches Award)
• Fiction
• Non-fiction
• Regina Book Award
• Saskatoon Book Award
• Poetry

• Children’s Literature
• Scholarly Writing

In addition, Saskatchewan publishers are invited to submit books for:

• Award for Publishing
• First Peoples Publishing Award
• Publishing in Education Award

Books are to be sent to the Saskatchewan Book Awards, c/o Regina Public Library, 2311 - 12th Ave., Regina, SK  S4P 3Z5.

The Book Awards gala will be held Fri., Nov. 30 at the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts, Regina featuring guest speaker, Anna Porter, CEO and Publisher of Key Porter Books, author of “The Bookfair Murders,” and “The Storyteller.”
