President invited to ‘Venture Out’ to Passport 2001

An intrepid adventurer from the Division of Media and Technology, technician Terry Lingl (right), hands U of S President Peter MacKinnon the ceremonial first brochure for Passport 2001 Aug. 22, inviting him to attend the Oct. 11 showcase that will feature exhibits from more than 20 campus units displaying the services they offer for faculty and staff.  Passport Co-ordinator Shannon Cossette, also of DMT, watches the performance.  The event, in the lower floor of the Education Building, will go from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.  This year there will be a number of new displays — for instance from the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and the Gwenna Moss Teaching & Learning Centre — in addition to extensive displays from units like Printing Services, Human Resources, Facilities Management, and Financial Services.
