State of the university address

In her first state of the university address as president of the University of Saskatchewan, Ilene Busch-Vishniac outlined her priorities and the reason each is important to the institution.

Speaking to a meeting of the General Academic Assembly April 10, she said her focus would remain on four priorities: the College of Medicine restructuring, financial sustainability, First Nations, Métis and Inuit initiatives, and benchmarking the U of S against U15 peers. She said that these priorities are key ingredients to achieving her vision for the U of S to be recognized among the eminent research-intensive universities of North America.
