Heenan, a six-foot-four, 310-pound offensive guard, is the second Huskie to be drafted number one overall; the first was safety Dylan Barker who was selected first in the 2008 draft by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.Heenan also becomes the sixth-straight player from Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) to be selected first overall in the CFL draft.
