Here's to good health

University of Saskatchewan researcher Debra Morgan was recently presented with the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) 2015 Achievement Award to recognize her contribution to health research in the province.

Morgan, professor and chair of Rural Health Delivery at the Canadian Centre for Health and Safety in Agriculture (CCHSA) in the College of Medicine, is widely known for demonstrating excellence and achievement in the field of rural dementia health care. Her work has fundamentally changed health service delivery in Saskatchewan for older adults with dementia and their family caregivers through the establishment of the innovative, telehealth-supported Rural and Remote Memory Clinic.

Other award winners from the SHRF gala included Top Establishment Grant winners Franco Vizeacoumar and Corey Tomczak, Top Research Fellowship winners Chantal Kawalilak and Tayyab Shah, and four teams were presented with Top Collaborative Innovation Development awards.
