The University of Saskatchewan Undergraduate Research Journal (USURJ) will feature research from undergraduate students in any discipline or college, shining a spotlight on their work and encouraging others to follow their lead. Established experts in relevant fields will review all submissions.
"Funding from the Office of the Vice President, Research and the University Learning Centre is what allowed our journal to form, but student submissions will be what make USURJ great," said Lidia Arapis, an Edwards School of Business student volunteering with the journal. "Undergraduate researchers are our university's future graduate students."
The USURJ, was initially proposed in January 2012 by a group of students who were part of a multidisciplinary research learning community at the University Learning Centre. With it, the U of S now joins fourteen other universities across Canada that have undergraduate research journals.
