CLS users meet

The annual meeting of users of the Canadian Light Source (CLS) synchrotron drew more than 300 researchers from a variety of fields and a variety of countries, all of whom were interested in sharing the latest synchrotron techniques.

Held at the U of S Nov. 19 and 20, the 7th Annual Users’ Meeting was particularly exciting this year because the CLS is now open for business, according to its executive director Bill Thomlinson.

Associated with the meeting were workshops on various topics including medical imaging, environmental science applications, protein crystallography and X-ray absorption fine-structure spectroscopy.
