Nominees sought for women’s calendar

During October, designated as Women’s History Month in Canada to celebrate and reflect on the outstanding contributions of women to Canadian life, the U of S President’s Advisory Council on the Status of Women (PACSW) is launching a research effort to create a calendar honouring U of S women.

The calendar is part of PACSW’s plan to commemorate the University’s centennial in 2007 and to pay tribute to women from all aspects of campus life whose efforts have shaped the institution.

A number of nominations have already been received and PACSW is asking people on campus and in the wider community to forward more suggestions to Lindell Veitch at pacsw.usask@gmail.com or 966-2403 by the end of October. Nominees may be individuals or groups of women, including students, staff, and alumni.
