CUISR monographs available

Members of the Saskatchewan Legislature and their staff will soon have quick access to a series of research monographs produced by the Community-University Institute for Social Research (CUISR).

Some 44 monographs, the result of research partnerships between CUISR and various community-based organizations in Saskatoon and the province, will now be provided to the Saskatchewan Legislative Library and will become part of its collection, according to Evelyn Flynn, CUISR administrative coordinator.

The monographs deal primarily with research into health determinants and health policy, quality of life and community economic development, and have proven popular with a number of organizations, she said.  “A lot of community-based groups are using our monographs as reference materials.”

In addition to the legislative library, the CUISR monographs are available in hard copy through the Saskatoon Public Library and the U of S Library, and are free in electronic form from the organization’s website www.usask.ca/cuisr
