PAC opens doors to the public

The public is being invited to a two-day open house at the Physical Activity Complex (PAC) that will include tours of the building, hands-on activities, and even information to demystify the coaching process.

The College of Kinesiology is hosting KINNECTION March 24-25 with the first day set aside for high school students, teachers and guidance counselors, and the second open to alumni, families and community members, said Laurel Rossnagel, advancement officer in the college. The theme of this event is Health and Well-Being Through Physical Activity and Sport, she said, and activities will range from mini-lectures and lab demonstrations to a behind-the-scenes look at Huskie Athletics and programs like dance, and police and RCMP testing.

Rossnagel said an important feature of the open house is introducing community members, both children and adults, to all the facilities and programs offered in the PAC.

Information about the event and a schedule of activities is available on the college website www.usask.ca/kinesiology
