U of S grad Milburn named to board
Susan Milburn, U of S graduate, vice president of Raymond James Ltd. in Saskatoon and past president of the U of S Alumni Association, will become the newest member of University’s Board of Governors when she takes up her duties in July.
Milburn was appointed by University Senate to replace Gary Carlson who will complete his second term on the board in June. University Secretary Lea Pennock praised Carlson’s contributions over the years, describing him as “a very devoted servant of the University.”
The other Senate representative on the board is Judy Buzowetsky whose position has been renewed for a second term.
A commerce graduate who earned an MBA in 1980, Milburn has extensive corporate experience, having served as vice president of the Saskatchewan operations and predecessor companies of Midland Walwyn and RBC Dominion Securities prior to joining Raymond James. She is currently chair of the Investment Dealers Association – Saskatchewan Chapter, president of the Credit Union Centre (formerly Sask Place) board of directors, and vice-chair of The Saskatoon Community Foundation.
Pennock said Milburn’s appointment still leaves one vacancy on the board, which will be filled by a provincial government nominee.
