The U of S campus has been a favorite place for school students recently. Above, Brea Blaser-Fiddler of Waterhen Lake First Nation explains her project ‘Can We Physically See Sound?’ to Lee Wilson, professor of Chemistry and one of the judges in the Aboriginal Science Fair 2008. The fair, for students in Grades 6-11, is one way of promoting math and science, explained Wilson. Below, youngsters get a close-up look at newly hatched chicks during recent tours of the University’s animal facilities, including the Stone Barn, offered by the Department of Animal and Poultry Science.
