The annual Kent Phillips Public Speaking Competition, sponsored by the Ron and Jan Graham Centre for the Study of Communication, takes place March 7 from 5:30-7 pm in Physics 107. To register, call 966-5277.
Karmen VanderZwan, MA in Archaeology, will present a talk on her work near Humboldt entitled Fort Denison: Excavations at a Military Supply Camp during the 1885 Resistance at a meeting of the Saskatoon Archaeological Society Feb. 18 at 7:30 pm in Room 132 Archaeology Building.
There will be an open house presentation Feb. 11 from 3-4:30 pm in Goodspeed Theatre, Edwards School of Business, on survey synthesis, a project to compile data from a decade of student opinion on 10 dimensions of overall student experience at the U of S. Information from the survey synthesis will be used to inform the third integrated plan.

The Office of the President is now accepting nominations for the 2011 President’s Service Awards, a twice–annual recognition of the dedication and commitment of non–academic employees. The award includes $1,000 and the choice of a specially–designed ring or pin.
