The Humanities Research Unit presents Human Drama in Gaza: Photographic Exhibit, Colloquia, Class Visits and Screenings in the Snelgrove Gallery, Jan. 31-Feb. 11.
The U of S Amati Quartet in Residence will perform music by Schumann, Haydn and Brahms in concert Jan. 22 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm in Convocation Hall. Guest artist is pianist Bonnie Nicholson. Tickets are available at McNally Robinson Booksellers and the Place Riel Kiosk.
Celestial Gaze, an exhibition of work by Saskatchewan artists Cheryl Andrist and Diana Hume that explores various natural phenomenon and the mythologies connected to them, continues in the gallery until a closing reception Feb. 27 from 1-3 pm.
A public reception Jan. 14 at 8 pm opens Good Intensions, an exhibition featuring the work of Jon Sasaki. The show runs until April 9. Note the galleries’ new hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am-4 pm.
Skin, selected works by Walter Jule 1968-2011, can be seen in the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery, Room 191 Murray Building, until Jan. 21.
The Wind Orchestra directed by Darrin Oehlerking and Jazz Ensemble directed by Mark DeJong present a joint concert Feb. 2 at 7:30 pm in Quance Theatre, Education Building. Silver collection. For information, call 966-6185.
