The Canadian Federation of University Women presents an International Women’s Day Event March 8 at 7 pm in the auditorium at the Frances Morrison Library. The evening includes a United Nations webcast plus local speakers and discussion.
The Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching Effectiveness will hold the U of S Celebration of Teaching April 27 from 3:30-5 pm in Convocation Hall. Contact the centre for more information.

The university’s Ecumenical Chaplaincy (Anglican, Presbyterian, United) is sponsoring a meditative day based on the documentary Into Great Silence March 12 from 10 am – 4 pm in the U of S Multi-faith Centre, Rugby Chapel. The Office of the President is now accepting nominations for the 2011 President’s Service Awards, a twice–annual recognition of the dedication and commitment of non–academic employees. The award includes $1,000 and the choice of a specially–designed ring or pin.
