Graduate studies to waive application fee

The University of Saskatchewan is providing support to prospective graduate students who may be affected by the proposed American travel ban.

The College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (CGPS) is waiving the application fees for prospective graduate students originating from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

After completing an online application, applicants can choose the “pay later” option. They are then encouraged to contact with the following information:

  1. Full name
  2. Date of birth
  3. Country of citizenship
  4. Name of the graduate program applied for
  5. The term in which studies will commence

Once CGPS receives and verifies this information, the office will arrange for the fee to be waived, and the applicant will receive an email inviting them to log back in and submit the remaining admissions documents.

Note that the waiving of the application fee does not guarantee admission to a graduate program at the U of S.
