Law in the Arctic

The U of S is set to partner with a Nunavut college to train more Inuit lawyers.

Starting next September, 25 students from across the territory will be able to pursue a law degree at Nunavut Arctic College in Iqaluit while taking electives through the College of Law.

The focus of the four-year program will be on leading students to understand, examine, apply, and critique legal doctrine, systems and processes. Students will learn both contemporary law and Inuit traditional law.

See more about the partnership at CBC Saskatoon.
