The award recognizes the Public Spaces, Activity and Urban Form Strategic Framework, phase one of Saskatoon's new city centre plan. The team developing the plan, which is premised on public space and public life being a leading driver of the economic, social and environmental health of urban areas, includes the City of Saskatoon, the university's RUP program and the firm Sweeny Sterling Finlayson and Co Architects.
