Celebrating northern nurses

Special events in La Ronge and Ile-a-la-Crosse were held recently to celebrate the first northern nurses to graduate from the University of Saskatchewan's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

The students, other alumni, College of Nursing faculty and staff, and community partners gathered to recognize the graduates who, prior to 2012, would have had to leave their homes in La Ronge and Ile-a-la-Crosse to study nursing.
