USask Edwards students win coveted awards at JDC West 2019
Students from the Edwards School of Business took home five awards at the 2019 JDC West competition, Western Canada’s largest business competition, held this past weekend at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC.
By MIKAILA ORTYNSKYNotably, long-time Edwards JDC West faculty advisor and Edwards School of Business accounting professor, Nathalie Johnstone, was awarded faculty advisor of the year. Edwards students in the Accounting and Entrepreneurship teams received first place in their categories.
JDC West is hosted over three days that showcases ten academic competitions, one athletic competition, one parliamentary style debate, and one social competition. Business schools across Western Canada send delegations of approximately 50 undergraduate students to compete for the coveted “School of the Year.”
The results for the 2019 Edwards School of Business teams were as follows:
Faculty Advisor of the Year: Nathalie Johnstone
