The Prairie Design Awards are handed out every two years by the professional associations of architects in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to celebrate creativity and skill in architecture and interior design. The award citation for Graduate House notes the exterior of the building "conveys a strong sense of residential scale and institutional ambition" with careful use of materials and a keen attention to detail.

The architect on the Grad House project was Stantec Architecture Ltd.

The building also received the 2013 award of excellence from the Design Council of Saskatchewan.
