Hong Kong bound

As part of the president's tour, Gordon Barnhart, U of S interim president and vice-chancellor, made a stop in Hong Kong this week.

The visit to China includes meetings and dinners with donors and friends of the U of S, and alumni receptions in Hong Kong (Nov. 26) and Beijing (Nov. 30). The purpose of this tour is to create awareness of the university's priorities and build its reputation within communities that have strong U of S connections, such as alumni, research partners and donors.

Upcoming stops in the new year include Vancouver/Seattle (March 2015), Calgary (April 2015), Toronto (April 2015), along with stops around Saskatchewan, and a possible visit to London in the spring.
