"When you talk about research in this country, and the research that leads to innovation, it's going to be happening primarily in universities," President Peter Stoicheff told Universities Canada.
"I think of universities as talent engines—they attract talent and they produce talent. They circulate talent. There really is no other sector of society that does that particularly with people of such a young age who are learning so many things."
