USask community honoured with YWCA Women of Distinction Awards
In recognition of her career as a University of Saskatchewan (USask) professor and her work in medical research, Dr. Pamela Downe (PhD) was named the winner in the Research and Technology category during the 2020 YWCA Saskatoon Women of Distinction Awards.
By University CommunicationsDowne, a professor in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology at USask, was honoured during an online event on Oct. 16.

The YWCA Women of Distinction Awards are recognized nationally as one of the most prestigious awards for women. Since 1982, the YWCA Saskatoon Women of Distinction Awards have honoured hundreds of women for their inspirational leadership and extraordinary contributions to their community.
