Roughriders bring back camp to U of S
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will hold their sixth straight training camp at the University of Saskatchewan next month.
The Canadian Football League club will kick off camp on Sunday, May 20 at Griffiths Stadium on the U of S campus. Roughriders training camp will run 18 days, with the team also scheduled to hold some practices at Saskatoon Minor Football Field in the Gordie Howe Sports Complex. The Roughriders, who hold a variety of fan events in Saskatoon during training camp, will wrap up daily workouts with their annual Green and White intrasquad game on June 2 at SMF Field.
The Roughriders have held training camp at the U of S since 2013, based out of the U of S Huskies football clubhouse and field, with members of the Huskies’ staff regularly serving as guest coaches. The Roughriders will wrap up their stay in Saskatoon on June 6 and return to Regina to prepare for their final preseason game June 8 at Mosaic Stadium versus the Calgary Stampeders.
Further training camp details will be posted later this month on the Roughriders website.
