Reversing the brain drain

Canada has made significant progress is defeating brain drain—that is, the loss of scientific, engineering, and medical talent to the United States—according to the Toronto Star.

Making their list of Canadian researchers reversing brain drain is Howard Wheater, the director of the U of S Global Institute for Water Security and a professor with the School of Environment and Sustainability.

Prior to coming to Saskatoon in 2011, Wheater—who also serves as the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Water Security—was a professor of hydrology and director of the Environment Forum at Imperial College London.
